Everyone knows the beneficial effect of the sun's light and warmth on the body. Properly dosed, the sun stimulates circulation and metabolism and increases our vitality. However, excessive exposure to the sun's UV rays can have dangerous consequences. Excessive UV exposure and sunburns, especially in childhood and adolescence, significantly increase the risk of developing black skin cancer (malignant melanoma) years later. In addition to other acute and chronic skin damage, UV radiation also causes acute and chronic eye damage and weakens the immune system.

We would like to sensitize parents and children to the topic of sun protection and actively implement measures in our daycare center that increase protection against too much UV radiation. To this end, we are participating in the prevention program of the Saxon Cancer Society and would like to be certified as a sun protection daycare center. You can find out more about the exact measures and the progress of the certification under offers.
